How We Research
Every guide on Bishbo starts with one question: will this product work for the person shopping for it? For puzzle tables and boards, that means your piece count, the space you have and where you like to sit.
Here is how we answer it.
1. We start with your puzzle and your room
A 1000-piece puzzle, a 2000-piece puzzle and a small lap puzzle each need a different surface. A board sized for one can leave the edges of another hanging off.
We check the working surface in inches, the piece count the maker sizes it for and how much floor or table space it takes. When your room or chair limits the choice, we say what to measure.
2. We compare specs and features
We look at the surface material (felt, wood, plastic or metal), the height range, tilt angles, rotation, drawers, the cover, wheels and how it folds. For lamps, mats and frames we check size, mounting and what comes in the box.
Makers describe their products in their own words, so we name the brand for every claim. We also note the warranty terms a maker lists.
3. We look at owner feedback
We read through what owners report after using a table or board for a while. We look for patterns, like wobbly legs, sticky drawers, covers that press on pieces or felt that pills.
One unhappy review doesn't sink a product. A pattern does.
4. We score each product
Our score weighs specs, features and owner feedback against what you're shopping for. A board that's great for a 1000-piece puzzle may score lower in a guide about 2000-piece puzzles.
Scores spread out on purpose. A 10 is rare.
5. We keep pages up to date
Products change, and some disappear from stores. Makers sell close variants under similar names, so we check the size, the piece count and what comes in the box, and we only link new units.
We skip listings with no track record when better options exist, and any product with a known recall. When we update a guide, the "Updated on" date at the top changes with it.
What our picks are not
Our picks are research, not lab tests. We don't claim to have used every table or board we cover.
We describe equipment only. We don't make claims about puzzles and health, and we label maker claims as the maker's claims.
